With the much-acclaimed Kia Stinger GT sedan under its belt, the brand has turned that sense of upmarket bravado to the rest of its model range starting with the 2021 Seltos GT Line.
The compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) has been endowed with all the elements that made the Stinger GT such a lightning rod when it first hit the market in 2017.Read more
Form versus function, looks versus ability. These are all elements that are constantly at odds with one another. However, the 2020 Audi Q3 and its Sportback version are the automotive equivalent of having your cake and eating it too.
For those versed in Audi lore, the Sportback moniker gets applied to models having a sleeker profile, usually a sloped roofline or hatchback. So, for the folks looking for a small, luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV), there’s the standard Q3 recently refreshed for its second generation. For those wanting a more coupé-like slant to their SUV styling, there’s the Q3 Sportback. WHEN we tested the Volkswagen Amarok last year, we nicknamed it Pickup GTI for the punchy performance from its two-litre twin-turbocharged diesel four-cylinder motor and car-like refinement in a rugged off-road capable package. The recently released Amarok V6 adds a hyper-potent three-litre turbo diesel V6 to an already impressive formula. Let’s call this one, Muscle Pickup.
Externally, the Amarok’s styling is unchanged other than the most important thing, that small shiny V6 badge on the driver’s side of the front grille. Inside, your experience will vary based on which of the various trim levels is purchased, but one will not be disappointed by the space, storage options, work-relevant connectivity and a noise level that best some luxury sport utility offerings much further up the price ladder. Even the standard equipment and quality is more than enough for the average owner.
