READY TO SERVE!
Following the recent announcement that ATL Automotive will operate as the sole franchisee for the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent-A-Car brands in Jamaica, the company has proudly announced the appointment of Mark Pike to the position of General Manager and Head of Business for the newly-formed company.
From November, ATL Automotive will operate all three brands in Jamaica, a groundbreaking agreement that brings all three Enterprise Holdings brands to facilities in locations across the country for the first time ever. Pike heads the new team having joined from affiliate company Sandals Resorts International (SRI) where he developed skills in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry, spanning diverse experiences in hotel management, community tourism and corporate hospitality management.
A third generation tourism practitioner with over 15 years’ experience, Pike spent seven years at SRI under the leadership of CEO, Adam Stewart and Wayne Cummings, Director of Business Processes, with responsibility for implementing and managing corporate initiatives, mainly in the areas of talent, development, business process improvement and sustainability which impact the luxury hotel chain.
Adam Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of SRI and the ATL Group commented, “Mark is one of our company’s rising stars. His humility, passion and dedication to excellence was there for all to see from the moment he joined us as a young man over seven years ago and he has since developed his talent to become a truly exceptional part of our company. His skillset is exactly what this exciting initiative demands and he along with the rest of the team will ensure that the Enterprise, Alamo and National operations run perfectly and offer our local and overseas customers the finest car rental service Jamaica has to offer.”
Pike will assume leadership of all business operations; leading the implementations of strategies for talent development, sales performance, operational excellence, customer service excellence, brand integrity, and business growth.
“I am greatly honoured to be entrusted with this exciting new role and, while the groundwork preparing for our November opening started some time ago, I cannot wait to open our doors and start providing the kind of experience that these world leading brands expect. We’re forming a team of committed and talented individuals and it will be my privilege to lead them,” Pike added.
Born and raised in Mandeville, Manchester, Pike holds certification in Project Management, is a Certified Chartered Director from the Caribbean Governance Training Institute, a certified community tourism trainer, and holds a first class honors tourism degree from the University of West Indies, where he was instrumental in founding the UWI Tourism Society
