The new electric Macan, the most recent version of the Taycan, and the Cayenne are featured as part of Porsche’s selection for the Jamaica Auto Show 2025, the nation’s premier automotive exhibition.
ATL Motorsports, the arm of the ATL Automotive Group responsible for the Porsche line of vehicles, launched its latest model, the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, on Thursday, February 13, at Porsche Centre Kingston.
“You have this new modern design. It has the new T-Hybrid technology which is just better performance. There’s better suspension. It’s a more attractive car. Overall, I think this vehicle is poised to do great,” Kevin Jackson, brand manager, Porsche Jamaica, told the Jamaica Observer’s weekly Auto magazine.
Specially invited guests were treated to an advanced showing of the 2025 all-new, all-electric vehicles Macan and Taycan on Wednesday, January 22 at the AC Innovation Centre, AC Hotel Kingston, by ATL Motorsports, the arm of the ATL Automotive Group responsible for the Porsche brand of vehicles.
“These vehicles represent Porsche’s commitment to advancing sustainable mobility worldwide, while still providing the luxurious bespoke driving experience the brand is known for,” said Damien Kerr, general manager – Oxford Road.
Porsche’s iconic 911 model line has a rich history of thrilling drivers, and the Carrera T variant stands out as a testament to its performance roots. With a focus on weight reduction and an engaging driving experience, the Porsche 911 Carrera T offers a unique blend of nostalgia and modern technology.
The Carrera T’s design cues immediately hint at its focus on performance. Pronounced rear-wheel arches necessitate adjusting your side mirrors outward for better rearward visibility, adding a touch of quirkiness to the classic 911 silhouette. When I was being picked up for the test drive, I asked the representative, ‘How will I know it’s you?’ He simply said, “You’ll know.”

Porsche, for the most part, has kept their formula very simple: build a performance-based car that is reliable and well tested. Where the silhouette is concerned, there have been some slight deviations over the years with models like the 944, and in recent times, the development of the Cayenne and the Panamera. However, the brand’s claim to fame is, and will always be, the 911 design. It’s a shape that is unmistakably hard to miss and is recognised worldwide. For the new 911, the brand has built over 20 variants, ensuring that all potential owners can find something that they like.

ENGINEERS at German automotive brand Porsche are forever pushing the boundaries to make a great car even greater. This is also true of the Macan GTS.
For the uninitiated, GTS means Gran Turismo Sport. Whereas GTS originally meant additional comfort in a sports car, it eventually morphed into a label for a sportier driving experience. Today, all Porsche models are available in an extra-sporty GTS variant that features an array of trim details.

THERE’S an old automotive cliché about what a villain like Darth Vader would drive. It usually means looking for cars with an all-black or dark theme.
So what would a hero drive? What would Superman sit behind the wheel of? It might just be the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3. While Superman’s Clark Kent human persona might have a problem affording a six-figure car on his Daily Planet reporter salary, he could probably call in a small financial favour from fellow Justice League member, the billionaire Bruce Wayne aka Batman.
