What to expect
Exterior
The signature tiger nose grille is present once more along with full ‘heart beat’ LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights in the GT Line. More ‘heart beat’ LED lamps are mounted on the rear of the vehicle, allowing for maximum visibility on the road. This model also comes in bold colours such as Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Intelligency Blue, Gravity Grey, Iron Grey, Clear White and Beige Gold, providing options to suit every personality.
The Sonet is designed to thrill so hubcaps simply won’t do. Customers will have the option of diamond-cut 16-inch alloy wheels on this model, giving it the extra element of surprise that Kia is known for.
Interior
Inside the cockpit is a standard 8-inch display audio system with smartphone connectivity that allows you to stream music, podcasts, videos and send and receive phone calls. There’s also a 4.2-inch supervision cluster that gives detailed information on your journey such as turn-by-turn navigation instructions and data from the built in tyre pressure monitoring system. You can also pay keen attention to your surroundings when reversing thanks to the multi-angle rearview monitor. These features already put this model ahead of the competition but the Sonet is not done yet.
Every trip becomes more enjoyable when entertainment flows through the Bose Sound System. Bose premium speakers are effortlessly styled into the interior of the GT Line giving it a surround sound effect that will always bring the party right to your cockpit.
Safety Features
When it comes to safety, the Sonet has a total of six front, side and curtain airbags so every passenger is protected and secure in the event of a collision. Other safety features include hill start assist, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors and central locking. The traction control feature helps to reduce tyre slippage when you are accelerating on wet or otherwise slippery road surfaces so every journey is safe, no matter the conditions.
Performance
Finally, let’s talk performance and adaptability. The Sonet is powered by a 1.5 litre gas engine with 6-speed automatic CVT transmission making it an expert on fuel efficiency. It also comes standard with an anti-lock braking system and the option of three different drive modes in the GT Line including eco and sport so you get the most out of your Sonet every time you get into the driver’s seat.
