  • Simultaneous Showroom Launches in Kingston and Montego Bay on 5th March
  • Largest Fleet of Demo Models in the Company Available for Test Drives
  • Existing Kia Drivers Offered Free 50 Point Check
  • Every Kia Comes with Five Year Warranty

Kingston, February 26, 2018. Almost six months after it first announced plans to assume control of the Korean super brand, Kia, the ATL Automotive Group is finally counting down the hours before opening the doors to its new-look operation on Monday March 5th 2018.

The ATL Automotive Group has taken direct control of the sales and aftersales of Kia under a newly created subdivision, ATL Tiger Automotive, operating world class facilities on Oxford Road in Kingston and at Fairview in Montego Bay where a complete line up of Kia models will be on show.

Mike Ellenthorpe, Managing Director for the ATL Automotive Group commented, “Since the moment we first announced plans to takeover Kia in Jamaica in September, we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the perfect reintroduction of this incredible brand from the very first day. That has seen the creation of two world class showrooms and service facilities, the acquisition and training of a fantastic new team who will live and breathe Kia and ordering the cars that we believe Jamaica will love and that will dominate the automotive landscape in Jamaica like it does in so many countries around the world already. The past six months have gone by fast but the day is now here and we’re thrilled to finally be able to show Jamaica what this brand is all about.”

On opening, customers can choose from a full range of Kia’s award-winning models including the micro hatchback, the Picanto, sedans in the 4 and 5 door Rio, Cerato and Optima, the subcompact crossover, Soul, the compact SUV, Sportage, the midsize seven seat SUV Sorento as well as the midsize MPV, the Carnival and the K-Truck.  Each car comes complete with a five year manufacturers warranty.

Chris DaCosta, Head of Business for Kia Jamaica commented, “Kia is somewhat of an unknown quantity in Jamaica in many ways and we believe that the greatest way of discovering the quality of a car is to get behind the wheel and drive it. That’s why we’ll be boasting the largest fleet of demos in the company. Whatever you’re interested in, wherever you’re located, both locations will have them ready and available to take for a spin and we’ll be hosting dedicated test drive days on the 10th March in both Kingston and Montego Bay with food and music on site to ramp up the excitement levels. What’s more, we’re going to be offering an extra special incentive for the first 50 customers.”

“Aside from the new cars, we’re eager to meet existing Kia drivers in Jamaica and understand their needs so we’re offering free 50 points checks for everyone. Knowing what Kias are on the road right now and who drives them will better equip us to look after them should they ever need us.“

In terms of locations, the Kia Kingston sales and service operation is located at ATL Automotive’s main facility at Oxford Road. In Montego Bay, Kia will open at a brand new showroom within the Fairview complex with servicing taking place at the ATL Automotive Group’s state-of-the-art Service Centre at Bogue, less than a mile away.

The opening of Kia follows hot on the heels of the recent launch of ATL Automotive’s in-house finance division, ATL Automotive Finance which opened to much fanfare at ATL Automotive’s locations in Kingston and Montego Bay last week offers competitive financing and 24 hours from the comfort of their state-of-the-art showrooms.
